Well, I’ve never been much of a comics person. In the 80’s I tried a couple of times to have a box at some comic stores to get regular monthly comics. But I just never got into them. Aside from…In the early 80’s I had a copy of Epic Illustrated and was totally taking by the cover art… Extremely cliched, but almost so cliched that it felt like a great homage to the pulps… A damsel in distress, a muscle bound hero with a big sword to save her, monsters that are basically just big sharp toothed mouths with feet. no pretension, just pure pulp… And a bright grabbing color scheme and a clear art style. I was just taken with it and learned it was Richard Corben and, in the years since then, I’ve bought pretty much everything by him that I’ve come across.for reference sake, I figured I’d make a list of what I have.
