So… The ende.

After the sale of that first record, I took about a three month break. After that point though, maybe it was the holiday spirit, I started posting a bunch of stuff. Most of the stuff I am looking to sell is my Black Metal, which I bought in the late 90’s through the early 00’s. I have treasured this stuff for years, but never listen to it, and have never played most of those records and they seem to have gained some value. At the point that I started listing records, the most valuable one that I was willing to part with was Ved Buens Ende, Written in Waters.

Written in Waters was the first “extreme metal” purchase I ever made. I knew nothing about black metal at the time and it was such a strange looking record to find in a Metal section (at 2nd Ave) that I just had to buy it to see what it was. Lo and behold, inside that strange gatefold I was greeted by two beautiful pieces of purple vinyl. No labels or anything, just vinyl. And some pretty cool music was contained on that vinyl, too.

Sigh, well, this guy was the first record I sold in this more extensive attempt at selling records. For 130$ to a fellow in Austria. Boy, was I nervous about sending that out into the world. But it made it and all was well.

By the way, of those three records I put up yesterday, two of them sold within an hour… Irresistible Bliss by Soul Coughing for 45$ (you know, Super Bon Bon, I’m sure you remember that song)…

and Nifelheim’s Devil’s Force for 85$. Which maybe you know something about, but I don’t as I have never played it…

So that was kind of a relief after the quite week or two I have had prior!
