Can never have enough supplies…

Since last we spoke, I have managed to pass the 300 Discogs orders threshold. I certainly never thought I’d end up sending 380 records and/or cd’s out the door! It’s been fun… and financially rewarding. But I can never get myself to order way more mylar bags and shipping supplies than I need! I just get one package at a time, which means I just have to keep reordering. Worst of all are my habits with the mylar bags. Since, not only do I need a nice clean fresh one for every record I sell, but I also want to put all my other records in them, I need an awful lot and I should just order 1,000 of the darn things. Instead, I get them at about 100 at a time, put them on the records I ship out, and then use the rest on my other records… Then, when I get more orders, I don’t have any left to use! Like now!

In other exciting, and/or odd news, I had a record to sell that had never been put up for sale on Discogs, in fact, I couldn’t find any sale history for it anywhere. T’was Torturer’s “Oppressed by the Force”. It had a kinda cheesy cover and the sleeve was glossy paper instead of the thicker paperboard usually used for LP covers. So I thought it seemed kinda cheap. But it was an obscure record by a south american extreme metal band (usually a good thing) and it looked like the CD version went for over $100. So, well, somewhat logically, I put this LP up for $100… And it sold in about one minute. I guess I should have tried a bit higher first, oh well.
