And then I sold a CD…

But I’m not here to talk about selling those little things. The next sales that I made, back to back, were both old rap records. Firstly, I sold Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s Return to the 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version. Not too remarkable, it was just 30$, and I didn’t take a picture of it so nothing to show here. But, oddly enough, it is the second time I have sold this exact record. I sold it on eBay in 2002… I was still waiting to hear back from the buyer when I set out on a 4 week roadtrip… So I brought the record with me. It went on the whole trip and came back home. Never heard from the guy. Anyway, it’s gone now, 12 years later.

Secondly, I sold this gem:

for the much more appealing price of 65$. Now, I don’t actually know if it is a gem. Because I never did listen to it. Which should be a bit odd as Above The Law are my long time favorite rap group, with their first two albums being among my all time favorites. Then this third album, I just never got around to playing it. But I hear that it’s good.

Up to the modern day… Last night I sold JohnPaulGeorgeRIngo by Pope.

Another one I don’t know much about. See, way back in the day I heard the song Pale Moonlight by Leatherface (more of them to come in this blog) and I liked it so much that I ended up buying 8 of their lp’s. Turns out that I really wasn’t into the rest of their stuff… I just really liked that song. Well, Frankie Stubbs (the singer of Leatherface) also had this band, Pope, so I bought this record.  I might have listened to it back in the 90’s, I don’t recall. But the 35$ that I just got for it was certainly more than I paid for it when it was new, so I guess it was a good buy anyway.

And last night, I also listed 11 more LP’s. Mainly Black Metal. Hopefully there will be some interest in those. Enough to put some spring in my step! Other things I noticed in the listing process last night… Of the 82 items that I have currently listed, 47 of them are Black Metal and 22 are Death Metal. Hmmm… I also noticed that 10 of them are still sealed. Hmmm. I probably planned on listening to them when I bought them, I imagine. From now on, I hope to only purchase music that I will actually listen to!
